Herndon, VA – Finch Computing, developers of powerful artificial intelligence and natural language processing solutions, today announced that it is welcoming two established professionals to the team to help continue its accelerated growth in both the Federal government and commercial space. Scott “Dutch” Murray will be Finch’s new Senior Vice President, Mission Programs, and Christine Fuentes will be the company’s first Chief Marketing Officer.
“We could not have asked for better talent at a better time for our company,” Finch President Scott Lightner said. “Dutch and Christine bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the company, and we’re thrilled about their contributions to all that is ahead for us as we invest in our capabilities, expand our team and footprint, and continue to serve our customers while innovating on their behalf.”
Murray, a 1987 U.S. Air Force Academy graduate, is a retired Air Force colonel who served honorably for more than 28 years. During his Air Force career, he was Director of Intelligence at the Air Forces Central Command; Special Assistant to the Director at the Defense Intelligence Agency; Special Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance, HQ USAF; and twice served as the Director of Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance at the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Joint Command in Afghanistan. He comes to Finch after spending five years at Babel Street, a text-based analytics and data-to-knowledge platform. He will bring the Finch suite of products to even more Department of Defense and Intelligence Community users and present the company’s capabilities as mission enablers to air, land, sea, space and cyber operations.
Fuentes joins Finch as its first-ever Chief Marketing Officer. She, too, is an Air Force veteran. After graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1995, she held multiple public affairs roles with the Air Force before moving into industry. She held increasingly senior communications and marketing positions within the corporate and agency environment, including at Amentum, where she launched and grew the new government services brand, achieving wide recognition in a short period of time. Christine will be responsible for Finch’s brand management, marketing strategy, communications planning and related activities.
