Company Joins Other Leading NoSQL Vendors at DATAVERSITY’s NoSQL Now! Show
Reston, VA – Finch Computing, a provider of innovative software solutions that enable new ways of interacting with information, today announced that Chief Technology Officer, Scott Lighter, will present and demo FinchDB, an all in-memory, enabling platform technology built on an IP portfolio of 25 unique inventions. The presentation and demo come as part of DATAVERSITY’s annual NoSQLNow! Conference, held this year in San Diego, CA. As a sponsor of the show, the company will also conduct demos from booth #501 on the exhibit floor.
“We built FinchDB to be a fundamentally different solution,” Lightner said. “FinchDB is part database, part search technology and part analytics engine – all three, all together, all in-memory.
Lightner’s demo will showcase FinchDB’s ability to process huge volumes of streaming content, to identify relevant content, and to absorb user feedback on the content in order to create better, more relevant alerts on the data. This one example, conducted on a streaming feed of 800,000 news articles per day, highlight’s FinchDB’s ability to perform complex, true real-time analytics on massive, changing datasets, and to apply context and knowledge discovery on-the-fly. Clearly, there are multiple applications for this capability across the enterprise – from preventing financial fraud, to risk mitigation and competitive intelligence, to real-time, uber-personalized recommendation engines.
“While other big data and analytics tools are answers oriented, FinchDB is questions oriented,” Lightner continued. “That’s what our IP is really about: the ability to ask better questions of your data – as it changes and as what you want to get out of it changes too – because that’s what ensures that you’ll get the most meaningful insights.”
DATAVERSITY’s NoSQL Now! Conference is the sixth annual conference of its kind and the largest educational forum that gathers NoSQL experts to discuss the market changes leading to the increased NoSQL adoption within enterprises. It will be held in San Diego on April 17-22. This will be Finch Computing’s second year sponsoring and speaking at the event. Lightner’s presentation will occur on Monday, April 18 at 12:00pm Pacific Time.
